China’s English Language News Channel Expands Production at DC Bureau

FALLS CHURCH, VA- CCTV America, the U-S production arm of the Beijing based global news channel CCTV News, will expand programming on Monday, February 4th.

Broadcast live from Washington D.C., CCTV News launches a new two hour edition of BIZ ASIA AMERICA, 7 to 9 PM ET.

In its new format, BIZ ASIA AMERICA provides a daily business news magazine aimed at the general interest viewer. With a special focus on US-China trade, finance, and investment, BIZ ASIA AMERICA explores the trends that shape the increasingly integrated economic world in which we live.

Special segments of the new program will highlight developments in new technology with regular reports from Silicon Valley. An expanded operation in Mexico City will complement a continuing presence in Havana, Buenos Aires, Bogota, and Lima.

The move was part of the effort by CCTV News to increase the quality, breadth, and reach of the its global news channel founded in April 2010.
