Ethiopian TV to Launch 24/7 in DC Market Area

FALLS CHURCH, VA – Beginning May 1, 2011, Ethiopian TV (ETV) programming will be available 24 hours a day on MHz Networks 10 in the DC metro area.

Viewers can tune into ETV programming on:

Over the air (OTA) digital broadcast channel 30.10
Comcast 280
Cox  479

A channel of Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency, ETV's mission is to present a competitive and reliable medium of information, promoting development and democratic unity of Ethiopia. The channel provides both educational and entertainment programs.

ETV will also reach a national audience through MHz distribution, when an English-language news program from ERTA will launch nationally on MHz Worldview later this summer. MHz Worldview is available to over 40 million households throughout the U.S. through a network of MHz broadcast and cable affiliates.

The program will also be featured on the MHz Networks on demand channel via the Roku digital video player. The broadband service allows viewers throughout the U.S. access to premier international programming from MHz Networks.
