MHz Networks Becomes Strategic Partner of P21

FALLS CHURCH, VA- MHz Networks has been named a strategic council member of P21, a national organization that advocates for 21st century readiness for every student.

As the United States continues to compete in a global economy that demands innovation, P21 and its members provide tools and resources to help the U.S. education system keep up by fusing the three ‘R’s and four ‘C’s (critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration and creativity and innovation).

While leading districts and schools are already doing this, P21 advocates for local, state and federal policies that support this approach for every school.

“With another leading national organization joining our already impressive strategic council, there is clear consensus that we must fuse the three Rs and four Cs,” said Ken Kay, president of P21. “The commitment of our 40 members demonstrates that every sector of our society is focused on ensuring 21st century readiness for every student.”

MHz Networks views its role as an independent, public television entity to provide a wide array of international perspective through its variety of premier global programming partners; a view that parallels P21s advocacy for 21st century readiness and global literacy.

Educating in an innovative way, the MHz mission makes the idea of global understanding and education widely available and attainable, and promotes this essential skill for students and global citizens alike.

Frederick Thomas, MHz Networks Chief Executive says, “The greatest gifts we can give Americas’ students are the tools necessary for them to succeed in the world in which they will be living, not the world of our generation or the world we would like to see, but the world as it is: the world that uses technology to shrink geography, communication to overcome our differences, and collaboration to build successful enterprises.”

“As a leader of one of the P21 strategic council organizations, I am absolutely committed to making sure that all American students receive the greatest gift of all- the tools necessary to engage their world and succeed at whatever they put their minds to.”
