Syncbak Distribution Trial to Bring MHz to All Markets

LAS VEGAS, NV – Internet TV company, Syncbak, announced today a national distribution deal with MHz Networks.  MHz Networks will distribute live content OTT and to mobile phones across the country on Syncbak’s platform.

MHz is expanding its affiliate relationships in every market for ten of its channels including MHz Worldview, the nation’s most complete aggregation of live international news.

“Syncbak’s platform enables broadcasters and content owners to innovate around the delivery of television over the internet,” says Syncbak Founder and CEO, Jack Perry. “Once our infrastructure is in place, stations can syndicate their original content in other markets.”

Frederick Thomas, MHz Networks Founder and CEO says, “The Syncbak technology really places our premier international content into the hands of every viewer, making our valuable brand of English-accessible world perspective and entertainment a mainstream product for the first time.”

Syncbak’s internet broadcast platform dynamically manages rights and content distribution in the cloud using proprietary hardware installed in partner television stations. Broadcasters on the platform can immediately stream the content they own or negotiate the rights to on Apple and Android smart phones and tablets and can go OTT on connected TVs. There is no equipment cost and going mobile immediately is free. The platform offers multiple levels of viewer and market authentication with the highest being absolute in real time.

Fifty stations in 35 markets have installed Syncbak’s technology and are ready to go over-the-top on mobile phones and tablets. MHz channels will be available in all Syncbak-enabled markets, including the technology’s limited release in Spokane, Washington later this month.

National Association of Broadcasters and the Consumer Electronics Association are both investors in Syncbak. The company’s internet broadcast platform eliminates the barriers to distributing live TV directly to viewers via the internet by protecting TV rights at the local, regional and national levels. The Syncbak platform supports both iOS and Android mobile devices and will be included on a number of connected television and gaming devices.

San Francisco-based KTSF has also signed a distribution agreement with Syncbak.
